I started my work life as an architect. I had a lot of great experience in design, construction management and teaching in those years and on the side, I got the real estate bug, fixing up properties that I bought and later, becoming a landlord.
Years later, my architecture and construction background have given me a valuable edge in the real estate industry-not only in the opportunities that I can help my client visualize, but in looking at a wide range of opportunities in a strategic way.
I do not consider myself a traditional real estate sales agent by any stretch of the imagination. A great listener, I am respectful, sensitive to busy schedules and not pushy. My style is direct and honest so that you can make the best decisions for yourself.
Although I have been in California since 1985, I am a Midwestern at heart, graduating from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana with a Bachelor of Architecture. I am known in the real estate industry for my open, honest, no-nonsense communication with both clients and fellow agents alike. Calmly solving the inevitable rough spots of a transaction is one of my strong points.
The majority of my clients have worked with me before, or were introduced by someone who did. When the deal is closed, I stay in touch, always being available to answer real estate questions and make referrals to other professionals. I stay involved in the West Portal Area neighborhood, and I help sellers and buyers in both San Francisco and Pacifica.
