District 7 is known for its wealth, both actual and historical. You’ll find ‘Billionaires Row’, The Mrs. Doubtfire house and some interesting buildings and views; be sure to get lost and explore.

Highlights/interesting tid bits

This neighborhood truly has lots to offer, with sun, trendy shopping areas, night life, and great restaurants. If you like to people watch, go to the Marina Green or Marina Safeway. At the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge, you’ll find a strong connection to Marin County from the inhabitants of this area.

Architecture

A wide variety from late 1800’s to modern, most of the housing stock is from the 1910’s to the 1930’s.

There is a wide range of housing stock and prices, from studio condominiums to mansions, rentals as well as owner occupied. While there are single family homes, they are quite exclusive. While there are some detached homes, most of the housing stock is rowhouse configuration, meaning looking attached.

Chestnut, Sacramento and Union Streets.

Palace of Fine Arts, Fort Mason, Lafayette Park, Alta Plaza Park and Moscone Playground.

Public transportation – buses, both MUNI and Golden Gate Transit

Private transportation – Highway 101 runs through, connecting to Marin and the South Bay.
